Side view of the Christmas tree

I picture of my Christmas tree. I think it turned out well. I am glad I decided to put one up this year. Almost didn't but decided that Brittany would enjoy it.

More of my books in what will be my daughters room as soon as I find her a daybed like I want her to have.

Picture of my bedroom showing my books and pc.

Pictures of my bedroom at the apartment. I know ...the walls are bare. I really need to get some pictures and wall hangings on them.

Picture of my bathroom at my new apartment.

We have separated and I am in an apartment now. Not something I wanted to do but hopefully it will lead to good things. I have been without my voice for a week now. It makes looking for work difficult when you can't communicate vocally. I miss Brittany most but I also miss having a family to take care of and working around the house and with my flowers. At least it will be winter in a few days and I won't be thinking about my plants. Spring will be a hard time for me unless things change for the better.

Things haven't been so great. I'm in TN at my sister's for the next two weeks(most likely). I miss my daughter very very much. Yesterday would have been my son's 15th birthday. I've never felt so alone. The new haircut and the outfit my sister said I needed are nice but I still feel a very very definate shade of grey.

The Poison Pen Review: The Office For 09.20.05

I missed the 2nd Season Premiere of The Office. Luckily I was able to catch it on Bravo Sunday night. Downside was that I ony got to see about the last 15 min. of it due to the Dish losing signal as Rita(The Tropical Depression formerly known as Hurricane Rita) went over me.

Google Earth really cool site. Google Moon is also really cool.
My SCIFI.COM shows had their season premiere last Friday--SG-1, Stargate Atlantis and BattleStar Galactica. I really enjoyed the season openers and I look forward to watching each Friday however I really miss Enterprise. I was not at all happy with Enterprises' series finale.

THE WISE ENCYCLOPEDIA OF COOKERY: AN ENCYCLOPEDIC HANDBOOK FOR THE HOMEMAKER William Wise Publishers This cookbook is wonderful. I was lucky enough to get the one that my grandmother had. As a child I loved to sit and read about the different food items. The books contains about anything you would want to know about any food items. It doesn't contain recipes for the microwave for obvious reasons. Wise also published an Encyclopedia on several other topics--Fishing, Gardening and Sewing. You can usually find these at Ebay. My favorite FoodNetwork shows in no particular order are:
  • 30 Min. Meals
  • Barefoot Contessa
  • Emeril Live
  • Everyday Italian
  • Good Eats
  • Iron Chef
  • Iron Chef America
  • UnWrapped

STARTREK.COM I have waited for several weeks to write bout this topic as I thought maybe time would help. However, I don't think that's going to be the case. I am still feeling cheated with the series finale of Star Trek Enterprise. Not only did they do a shabby job of writing for this the finale episode....they killed off my favorite character and what we were given was basically an episode of Next Generation more so than a Enterprise Episode. I agree whole heartedly with a lot of others who have commented that many scenes had our Enterprise characters not acting like themselves. I was insulted that they tried to portray Trip as a country bumpkin with no schooling....that was just plain wrong. You may learn a lot of things on the farm....but not enough to keep an engine running at warp. Lots of holes in the plot. I had been hoping that the Sci-Fi Channel would pick up the series but I guess that's no longer an option. (back to my cave)
